Welcome to the First Floor, Crawlers!
This is a training floor. Please do not confuse “training” with “safe.” The distinction will become clear shortly, probably while something is chewing on you.
Your objectives are simple: learn to navigate the dungeon, explore its rooms and corridors, identify threats, and discover which end of your weapon belongs inside the monster. You will also need to familiarize yourself with loot, abilities, and the deeply inconvenient fact that your continued existence now requires effort.
Most importantly, you must learn to interact with your fellow crawlers.
Working together can increase your chances of survival. A well-balanced party can share resources, combine skills, and rescue injured members.
Alternatively, you can work against one another. Resources are limited. Trust is exploitable. And that helpful stranger watching your back may simply be calculating how much your equipment will weigh once you are no longer wearing it.
We encourage experimentation. We collect excellent data from both approaches.
Somewhere below you lies the next floor. Your job is to find a way down before this one closes, preferably while retaining enough limbs to use the stairs.
Explore. Adapt. Make friends. Make enemies. Learn the difference before handing either one a knife.
Your training begins now. Assessment is continuous. Failure is generally permanent.
