The Mirkwoods

What Happened

Setting out towards the ominous Mirkwoods, the party encountered eerie whispers, stone statues, and a mischievous Korred named Podwick, sent by Corster to keep an eye on them. They located Amaranth’s house and discovered that the changeling twins placed with a local woodcutter held dangerous, otherworldly power. Amaranth’s ghost promised them a reward if they returned the locket, offering to free her spirit. 

As they approached the woodcutter’s home, they encountered Dagon, Prince of the Darkened Depths and father of the changeling children. Dagon offered them power and wealth if they would eliminate the woodcutter and free the twins. Although most of the party agreed to the deal, Podwick abandoned them in disgust, and Kuso, troubled by their decision, encountered a mysterious fox fey who hinted at an alternative path.
